Microchipping Updated on: April 9th, 2019

an electronic chip inserted into the dog's shoulder that can be scanned to identify the animal.

why we feed

If your dog gets out and does not have a collar, a microchip is a great fail safe. It is inserted inside your dog's shoulder, so it won't fall off. The chip can be scanned and the dog can be safely returned to its owner.

how to feed

microchips are implanted by a vet through a quick injection. Dogs and cats receive the injection along the dorsal midline, just between the shoulder blades.

Additional info

Microchipping your dog is incredibly affordable in current times (I got it done for my dog for $15!) It is also a simple procedure, and not very painful.
