Flavonoids

Flavonoids are compounds naturally found in many fruits and vegetables.

Why we feed?

Flavonoids perform similar functions as vitamin C: reduce capillary fragility and permeability and chelate the divalent metal ions copper and iron. Flavonoids are also excellent antioxidants because they are very effective scavengers of free radicals.

How to feed?

Flavonoids are found in fruits, vegetables, grains, bark, roots, stems, flowers, and tea.

Additional info?

There are six different types of flavonoids found in food that are broken down by the body in different ways. Flavonoids are rich in antioxidants.
