A processed rice product that is missing nutrients contained in whole ground rice and brown rice. this is a common ingredient found in inferior kibble because it acts as a heavy filler.
Why we feed?
Brewers Rice is commonly found in kibble. It is a grain which makes it inexpensive therefore often used in pet food as a filler. Although some grains aren't necessarily 'bad' for dogs, dogs do not need grains to survive.
How to feed?
Although brewers rice contains fiber, other than that it has little to no nutritional value. It is a common ingredient found in prescription diets.
