Why we feed?

Slippery elm bark is known as a “demulcent,” something that soothes irritations and inflammation. It is high in fiber, so it also helps with vomiting and diarrhea. The texture coats and helps lubricate the mucous membranes, keeping everything moving the correct way!

How to feed?

Mix about 1 teaspoon with water per 40lbs of dog. It should form a sticky, slippery, gel-like substance. Some dogs may be picky about it, so to entice them, you can mix it with some treats or food. Feeding slippery elm before introducing new food or treats into the diet will help the digestion process! You can find slippery elm at most health food stores, but Amazon sells it as well. You can buy the powdered form and turn it into a liquid substance to make it last longer too!
