activated charcoal

Activated charcoal is charcoal that has been heated and used to detoxify or absorb toxins in the body.

Why we feed?

In emergencies when dogs have ingested something toxic, such as chocolate, activated charcoal can be given to absorb the toxins. It is most effective when ingested within the hour that the dog has eaten the toxin.

Why we feed

How to feed?

Activated charcoal can be added to food to get the dog to ingest it, or even mixed with a bit of bone broth, goat milk, or even just water. Activated charcoal is not something you need to feed unless in certain scenarios where you need it. Although activated charcoal is graat for teeth whitening, it is still not a staple in the diet.
