Digestive Enzymes

Produced by the body to break down food so that it is easier to digest. they are properties of all living cells that bring about changes in the body and one of the most important forces of energy in every living cell

What it is?

When food is broken down by digestive enzymes, it is easier for a dog's body to take advantage of the nutrients available in the food.

How it applies?

Most food contains digestive enzymes, and most dogs produce it as well, however, processed foods or food that has been left out, exposed to air, or heat can kill enzymes. Sometimes an older dog or a younger puppy may need extra digestive enzymes supplemented to help digestion.

Additional info?

The four basic enzymes: amylase, protease, lipase, and cellulase. Without enzyme activity, there is no life. No plant or animal can live without the activity of its enzymes. They take part in many activities such as metabolism, energy production, detoxification, etc!
