Bioavailable Updated on: April 9th, 2019

bioavailable means how well a nutrient is absorbed and used by the body.

why we feed

If a food isn't full of bioavailable nutrients, then a dog's body will not be able to use those nutrients. The dog will then be lacking in say, omega 3s, and this will throw off the balance of omegas, causing skin issues.

how to feed

Some bioavailable foods are: raw meat, organ and bones

Additional info

bioavailable foods tend to be fresh and not processed, or lightly processed. Add fresh food into your kibble diet to help your dog out!
