goat’s milk

milk is a liquid produced by female mammals for their young. It is generally very fatty and has a lot of nutrients. Milk is also used to make many other dairy products.

Why we feed?

Compared to cow’s milk, goat’s milk is easier to digest because the molecules are thinner and has less lactose. In its raw form, goat’s milk contains lactase, which helps break down the lactose as well. Goat’s milk is a great form of bioavailable probiotics for gut health and it reduces inflammation, optimizes digestion, improves the bioavailability of nutrients, strengthens bones, boosts heart health, strengthens immunity, increase metabolisms, prevents toxins from accumulating in the body, and benefits overall health.

How to feed?

Goat’s milk can be frozen into cubes to add into your dog’s diet, used to rehydrate food or treats, or used to soften up food for your dog. Because it is fatty and delicious, most dogs, even picky ones, love it. It is great for an afternoon snack and helps keep pups hydrated as well!

Additional info?

Be sure to purchase your goat’s milk raw. Once again, any sort of processing will remove any sort of bioavailable nutrients and kill the lactase. Raw goat milk can be purchased at most local pet food stores, but if you can't find it, your local health grocery store should have it!
